I thought the QuEST Conference in DC was fantastic. I had a blast. Met extraordinary professionals...even one that offered me a job to teach overseas. I was hyped! There was a chockful of interesting and informative workshops that can be put into practice right away. I would highly recommend the experience.
I agree QuEST 2009: Investing in Our Future was incredible. I attended a very informative session called Instruction That Reaches the Whole Child, Deanna Woods and Janet Kujat. Presenters quoted Stigler and Hiebert: "...almost all successful attempts to improve teaching have involved teachers working together to improve students' learning." How true this is! I feel this is at the heart of what we try to do at Mosaic.
